Fairfield Ludlowe High School Boys Lacrosse

My my My my
2 Important Updates, and Pizza

Ludlowe Lax parents and players, 2 quick updates for the coming week:

1) As previously mentioned, we will be helping Wakeman with their Day For Kids, this Saturday, 9/15. Geoff has asked if we can have the team show up at 3:30 to help clean up (the more players we have, the faster it will be!) As soon as the field is clear, its ours to use. PALS will also be ordering pizza for all of the players that are there on Saturday, and several of us from the PALS organization will be there to answer any questions, discuss the off-season (and eat pizza) and any other questions you have about the program.

2) Coach Parisi and this year's captains will be holding a team meeting for all FLHS students interested in playing lacrosse. Please encourage your sons to bring anyone to that meeting that may be considering high school lax. This meeting is on Tuesday, September 18 at 2:20pm in the Gym. Please make sure your sons attend and spread the word.

Thank you. Go Falcons!

Saturday Pickup Games at Wakeman

Parents and Players,

We hope you had a great summer and are off to a great 2018-2019 school year.

This Fall we have the Wakeman turf field from 4-6pm each Saturday for Ludlowe Lacrosse. Starting this Saturday (9/8), the captains will be hosting a pickup game at 4pm for all FLHS lax players.

In exchange for Wakeman's field generosity, the team will be helping with Wakeman's 'Day for Kids' on Saturday 9/15. More details to come in the next week.

In addition to Wakeman, the PALS organization is workig with the captains and coaching staff to put together some other off-season opportunities:

  • Afterschool workouts
  • Shooting/box lax at the Field House
  • Fall Tournaments
  • Winter league

More information will be forthcoming in the next few weeks about the rest of the offseason schedule.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you all for the efforts made yesterday in our first annual West Point Outing.  It was an amazing day of food, lacrosse and camaraderie -- and the weather only served as an appropriate backdrop to a perfectly executed event by P.A.L.S.
As we reflected on the bus ride home, our lacrosse season is merely a journey of life.  Where there are 10-7 losses to Cheshire as bumps in the road, there are also amazing bonds of fellowship strengthened by those very bumps.  As that Army team sang their traditional song at the end of their bitter loss to their rivals on senior day, it should renew in all of us the commitment to what we have built together.
Overall, the one word that came to mind was GRATITUDE.  I am grateful for the efforts, sacrifices and never-say-die mentality that the players demonstrated on the field yesterday.  Thank you all for diligently executing the three things that we asked in the gameplan on Friday:  middie defense, control of the dodge from X and our Gold clear.  On behalf of all the coaches and players, we are extremely grateful to the parents for hosting all the great events that we have and for supporting us in our ups and downs.
With appreciation,
Coach Parisi

To ALL FLHS Boys Lacrosse Players and Parents,

The 2018 season is only a month away and we want to start our team fundraising initiative. This initiative is the sales of ad space within our 3rd Annual Team Program. The program features local ads for businesses and merchants sold by the lacrosse players and parents and is distributed at all our home games. This fundraising initiative is our primary means of funding and is the lifeline to fuel our upcoming season.

We have given every effort to begin this initiative early this year so that parents and players can capitalize on the extra time.

Our goal this year is to have our 2018 Team Program completed and read for distribution at our scrimmage against Fairfield Prep on March 31st.

MARCH 17th
